North Cargo Pier 1B – Max. draft – 38’6”  -  max length for tankers at NCP 1B to be capped at 840’ (A good benchmark to use is a BCM of 420’) / 150’ Max Beam / 95,000 MT Max Displacement  
North Cargo Pier 2 – Max. draft – 39’06 (Vessels over 650’ restricted to 38’06)
 
A vessel with a draft that does not exceed 38 00″may transit the channels and basins at any time and stage of the tide. Vessels that have a draft in excess of 38’00″are considered “tide jobs” and will be advised by the Harbormaster and Canaveral Pilots of the time of boarding with consideration given to the stage of the tide. These vessels are generally scheduled to begin an inbound transit two hours prior to high tide.  A minimum under keel clearance of 2’6” is required during the transit of the channels and basins. Port Security - All persons doing ship’s business within Port Canaveral must have TWIC prior to be allowed onto any terminal.  Escort required without a TWIC.  Vehicles must have permanent company markings to be allowed onto any terminal.

CURRENT ISSUES:   03/28/24 - Thursday, March 28: ULA Delta IV Heavy final launch - Mission: United Launch Alliance's last Delta IV Heavy triple-core rocket will launch on the NROL-70 national security mission.
Launch: 1:40 p.m.  Location: Launch Complex 37 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.  Live coverage: Starts two hours before liftoff at floridatoday.com/space.  Early May: NASA’s Boeing Starliner crewed flight test  Boeing's CST-100 Starliner crew ship approaches the International Space Station on the company's Orbital Flight Test-2 mission before automatically docking to the Harmony module's forward port.  Mission: NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams will fly aboard a Boeing Starliner spacecraft and a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket to the International Space Station.  Launch: TBA.  Location: Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.  Live coverage: Starts 90 minutes before liftoff at floridatoday.com/space.

FUTURE ISSUES:   04/05/24 – PROPELLER CLUB - April 5  SHRIMPFEAST!!!  The Propeller Club’s annual fundraiser Cruise Terminal 5, Port Canaveral, 6 – 10 pm.  Funds raised go towards scholarships, RHS HELM program and our other education and community outreach and events.  All the fun is back including Live Auction with Sheriff Ivey, Silent Auction, Live Music with the Mang Brothers Band, Door Prizes, Hawaiian Shirt Contest, and free drink tickets.  Tickets must be purchased in advance and will NOT be sold at the door.
