Synopsis for Massachusetts and Rhode Island coastal waters:
Low pressure will move over the Canadian Maritimes on today and
become nearly stationary. Meanwhile a ridge of high pressure will
move towards the region from the west resulting strong northwesterly
wind gusts for the waters. Winds will slowly diminish on Tuesday as
high pressure builds over the northeast. high pressure will build
est of the waters on Wednesday and Thursday.

.TODAY...NW winds 25 to 30 kt with gusts up to 45 kt. Seas 6 to
9 ft. A chance of snow this morning.
.TONIGHT...NW winds 30 to 35 kt with gusts up to 45 kt. Seas 6 to
9 ft.
.TUE...NW winds 25 to 30 kt, diminishing to 20 to 25 kt in the
afternoon. Seas 5 to 7 ft.
.TUE NIGHT...NW winds 15 to 20 kt, diminishing to 10 to 15 kt
after midnight. Gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.
.WED...NW winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming E in the afternoon. Seas
2 to 3 ft.
.WED NIGHT...S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas around 2 ft.
