Synopsis for Massachusetts and Rhode Island coastal waters:
Low pressure system will intensify into a gale center along/near the
Maine coast through today, with WNW gales winds across the MA and RI
waters. High pressure brings light winds and dry weather Friday. An
inverted trough of low pressure moves up the eastern seaboard Friday
night into the weekend. This will likely result in showers, possibly
heavy at times. In addition, increasing ENE winds this weekend into
early next week, in response to high pressure over Quebec and
developing low pressure along the Carolina coast. This will result
in building seas.
