Synopsis for Massachusetts and Rhode Island coastal waters:
Low pressure well south of New England and strong high pressure over
southeast Quebec, will continue to generate NE gales over the MA/RI
waters, along with very large/dangerous seas across the ocean
waters. Both of these features weaken on Wednesday, resulting in
light winds and slowly subsiding seas. Thursday, developing low
pressure emerges off the Mid Atlantic coast, possibly intensifying
into a gale center Friday, as it tracks southeast of the 40N/70W
benchmark. NW gales may follow later Friday into Saturday across the
MA/RI waters. Winds should diminish Sunday as high pressure builds
into New England.
