Synopsis for Massachusetts and Rhode Island coastal waters:
A powerful low pres then moves NE from the coastal Mid Atlc into the
ern waters today and Thu. This will bring storm force gusts, steady
rain and dangerous seas to the waters. This low pres then pulls away
from the Gulf of Maine by Fri, and moves slowly into Atlc Canada
this weekend.

.STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH THURSDAY
AFTERNOON...
 
.TODAY...E winds 15 to 20 kt, increasing to 20 to 25 kt this
afternoon. Gusts up to 35 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft, building to 6 to
9 ft this afternoon. A slight chance of rain this morning, then a
chance of rain this afternoon with vsby 1 to 3 NM.
.TONIGHT...E winds 25 to 35 kt with gusts up to 45 kt, increasing
to 35 to 40 kt with gusts up to 55 kt after midnight. Seas 9 to
13 ft, building to 13 to 18 ft after midnight. Rain. Vsby 1 to
3 NM.
.THU...E winds 30 to 40 kt with gusts up to 55 kt. Seas 17 to
22 ft, subsiding to 15 to 20 ft in the afternoon. Rain. Vsby 1 to
3 NM.
.THU NIGHT...W winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt. Seas
12 to 16 ft, subsiding to 9 to 13 ft after midnight. A chance of
rain. Vsby 1 to 3 NM in the evening.
.FRI...NW winds 10 to 15 kt. Gusts up to 25 kt in the morning.
Seas 7 to 10 ft, subsiding to 5 to 8 ft in the afternoon. A
chance of showers.
.FRI NIGHT...N winds 10 to 15 kt, increasing to 15 to 20 kt after
midnight. Gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 5 to 6 ft. A chance of showers.
.SAT AND SAT NIGHT...N winds 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt.
Seas 5 to 8 ft, building to 7 to 8 ft. Showers likely.
.SUN AND SUN NIGHT...N winds 20 to 25 kt, becoming NW 10 to
15 kt. Gusts up to 30 kt. Seas 5 to 8 ft.
