Synopsis for Massachusetts and Rhode Island coastal waters:
Powerful low pres near the Gulf of Maine moves little this weekend
and will maintain N winds over the waters. This low pres then slowly
moves into Atlc Canada late Sun into Mon. High pres builds over the
waters through the middle of next week.
Coastal waters east of Ipswich Bay and the Stellwagen Bank
National Marine Sanctuary:
.TODAY...W winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 6 to
9 ft, subsiding to 5 to 7 ft this afternoon. A chance of showers
this morning. A slight chance of showers this afternoon. Vsby
1 to 3 NM this morning.
.TONIGHT...NW winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 4 to
6 ft. A chance of showers after midnight.
.SAT...N winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 5 to
7 ft. A chance of showers in the morning, then showers likely in
the afternoon with vsby 1 to 3 NM.
.SAT NIGHT...N winds 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt. Seas
5 to 7 ft. Showers likely, mainly in the evening with vsby 1 to
3 NM.
.SUN AND SUN NIGHT...NW winds 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt.
Seas 5 to 7 ft.
