Synopsis for Massachusetts and Rhode Island coastal waters:
Low pres SE of Nova Scotia will continue to move farther out into
the N Atlc today. This allows high pres to build over the waters
through Wed. By Thu and Fri, a frontal system moves into the region,
which will bring our next round of widespread unsettled weather.
Coastal waters east of Ipswich Bay and the Stellwagen Bank
National Marine Sanctuary:
.TODAY...NW winds 10 to 15 kt, becoming SW 5 to 10 kt this
afternoon. Seas 4 to 5 ft.
.TONIGHT...W winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.
.TUE...NE winds 10 to 15 kt, becoming E in the afternoon. Seas
2 to 4 ft.
.TUE NIGHT...SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft.
.WED...SE winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt. Seas 2 to
4 ft. A chance of showers in the afternoon.
