High pressure remains centered across the northeast. A weak system
passes through Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning. High
pressure will briefly return for Thursday, though a cold front may
approach the waters from the west by Friday.
 
Coastal waters east of Ipswich Bay and the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary:

WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...
 
.TODAY...SE winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming S 10 to 15 kt this
afternoon. Seas 2 to 3 ft. Wave Detail: S 2 ft at 3 seconds and E
2 ft at 11 seconds.
.TONIGHT...S winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt. Seas 3 to
5 ft. Wave Detail: SE 4 ft at 5 seconds and E 2 ft at 10 seconds.
A chance of showers in the evening, then showers likely after
midnight. Patchy fog after midnight.
.WED...S winds 20 to 25 kt, diminishing to 15 to 20 kt in the
afternoon. Gusts up to 30 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. Wave Detail: SE
5 ft at 5 seconds and E 1 foot at 10 seconds. Patchy fog in the
morning. A chance of showers in the morning.
.WED NIGHT...SW winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt. Seas
2 to 4 ft. Wave Detail: S 4 ft at 6 seconds and E 1 foot at
