Gusty W winds are on tap for today and Friday in the wake of
yesterday/s storm. The stronger of the winds will be
today...especially across our southern waters where Gale Force Wind
gusts continue through the afternoon. Large high pres over the Great
Lakes will build eastward Sat and cross the waters Sun. This high
pres system will then move east of our waters on Mon.
 
Coastal waters east of Ipswich Bay and the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary:
 
..GALE WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST THIS MORNING...
 
.TODAY...W winds 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 35 kt. Seas 6 to
9 ft. Wave Detail: SE 8 ft at 10 seconds and SW 6 ft at
5 seconds.
.TONIGHT...W winds 20 to 25 kt, diminishing to 15 to 20 kt after
midnight. Gusts up to 30 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft. Wave Detail: W 5 ft
at 5 seconds and SE 5 ft at 10 seconds.
.FRI...W winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 3 to
5 ft. Wave Detail: W 5 ft at 5 seconds and SE 3 ft at 10 seconds.
.FRI NIGHT...NW winds 15 to 20 kt, diminishing to 10 to 15 kt
after midnight. Gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Wave Detail:
NW 4 ft at 4 seconds and SE 2 ft at 9 seconds.
.SAT...NW winds 10 to 15 kt, diminishing to 5 to 10 kt in the

Seas are reported as significant wave height, which is the
average of the highest third of the waves. Individual wave
heights may be more than twice the significant wave height.
