Low pressure lifting into the Maritimes will continue to result in
Gale force westerly wind gusts and rough seas into tonight with
areas of moderate freezing spray into mid-morning Wed. A ridge of
high pres noses eastward on Wed resulting in diminishing winds. Low
pres will pass southeast of the Benchmark on Thu. This will be
followed by a ridge of high pres building in from the west later Fri
into Sat.

.TODAY...W winds 30 to 35 kt with gusts up to 50 kt. Seas 7 to
10 ft. Wave Detail: W 10 ft at 6 seconds and SE 1 foot at
11 seconds. Freezing spray.
.TONIGHT...W winds 25 to 30 kt with gusts up to 45 kt. Seas 6 to
9 ft. Wave Detail: W 8 ft at 6 seconds and SE 1 foot at
10 seconds. Freezing spray.
.WED...W winds 20 to 25 kt, diminishing to 15 to 20 kt in the
afternoon. Gusts up to 30 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft, subsiding to 3 to
5 ft in the afternoon. Wave Detail: NW 7 ft at 5 seconds,
becoming W 4 ft at 5 seconds. Light freezing spray.
.WED NIGHT...NW winds 10 to 15 kt. Gusts up to 20 kt in the
evening. Seas 2 to 3 ft. Wave Detail: NW 3 ft at 4 seconds. Light
freezing spray in the evening.
.THU...N winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft. Wave Detail: N 2 ft
at 4 seconds. A chance of snow in the afternoon.
.THU NIGHT...NW winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas
2 to 4 ft, building to 4 to 5 ft after midnight. Wave Detail: N
2 ft at 4 seconds, becoming N 4 ft at 5 seconds. A chance of
snow. A chance of light freezing spray after midnight. Vsby 1 NM
or less, increasing to 1 to 3 NM after midnight.
.FRI...NW winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 4 to
6 ft. A chance of light freezing spray.
.FRI NIGHT...NW winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas
3 to 5 ft. A chance of light freezing spray.
.SAT AND SAT NIGHT...W winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt.
Seas 2 to 4 ft.
 
Seas are reported as significant wave height, which is the
average of the highest third of the waves. Individual wave
heights may be more than twice the significant wave height.
