North Cargo Pier 2 – Max. draft – 39’06 (Vessels over 650’ restricted to 38’06)
A vessel with a draft that does not exceed 38 00″may transit the channels and basins at any time and stage of the tide. Vessels that have a draft in excess of 38’00″are considered “tide jobs” and will be advised by the Harbormaster and Canaveral Pilots of the time of boarding with consideration given to the stage of the tide. These vessels are generally scheduled to begin an inbound transit two hours prior to high tide. A minimum under keel clearance of 2’6” is required during the transit of the channels and basins. For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
Active Systems:
The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical
Storm Alberto, located inland over northeastern Mexico.
1. Southwestern Atlantic Ocean (AL92):
A small area of low pressure located about 150 miles east of the
northernmost Bahamas continues to produce disorganized shower
and thunderstorm activity. While environmental conditions are only
marginally conducive due to nearby dry air, further development of
this system could lead to the development of a tropical depression
while the low moves west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph and
approaches the northeastern coast of Florida or the Georgia coast
early on Friday. An Air Force Reserve reconnaissance aircraft is
scheduled to investigate this system this afternoon, if necessary.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...40 percent.

* Formation chance through 7 days...medium...50 percent.
