North Cargo Pier 1B – Max. draft – 38’6” - max length for tankers at NCP 1B to be capped at 840’ (A good benchmark to use is a BCM of 420’) / 150’ Max Beam / 95,000 MT Max Displacement
North Cargo Pier 2 – Max. draft – 39’06 (Vessels over 650’ restricted to 38’06)
A vessel with a draft that does not exceed 38 00″may transit the channels and basins at any time and stage of the tide. Vessels that have a draft in excess of 38’00″are considered “tide jobs” and will be advised by the Harbormaster and Canaveral Pilots of the time of boarding with consideration given to the stage of the tide. These vessels are generally scheduled to begin an inbound transit two hours prior to high tide. A minimum under keel clearance of 2’6” is required during the transit of the channels and basins. 1. Near the Lesser Antilles and Caribbean Sea:
Showers and thunderstorms associated with a tropical wave over the
central tropical Atlantic remain disorganized. Gradual development
of this system is possible during the next few days, and a tropical
depression could form some time next week while it moves westward,
reaching the Lesser Antilles on Monday and continuing across the
Caribbean Sea through the middle to latter part of the week.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 7 days...medium...40 percent.
