A vessel with a draft that does not exceed 38 00″may transit the channels and basins at any time and stage of the tide. Vessels that have a draft in excess of 38’00″are considered “tide jobs” and will be advised by the Harbormaster and Canaveral Pilots of the time of boarding with consideration given to the stage of the tide. These vessels are generally scheduled to begin an inbound transit two hours prior to high tide.  A minimum under keel clearance of 2’6” is required during the transit of the channels and basins. CURRENT ISSUES:  09/28/24 - Saturday, September 28: SpaceX NASA Crew-9 - The original four members of NASA’s SpaceX Crew-9 mission to the International Space Station pose for a photo during training in Hawthorne, California.
Mission: NASA astronaut Nick Hague (commander) and Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexander Gorbunov (mission specialist) — half of the original crew of four — will launch aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 to the International Space Station for a science expedition. Then in February, Starliner astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams will clamber into the SpaceX Dragon's two empty seats and join them for a return trip back to Earth.

1. Eastern and Central Tropical Atlantic (AL98):  Shower and thunderstorm activity associated with an area of low pressure located several hundred miles west of the Cabo Verde Islands has become more organized during the past several hours. Environmental conditions appear conducive for continued development of this system, and a tropical depression could form as soon as later today while it moves generally westward to west-northwestward near 15 mph today and tomorrow.  The system is then forecast to slow down and turn northward late Friday and Saturday.
