North Cargo Pier 1B – Max. draft – 38’6” - max length for tankers at NCP 1B to be capped at 840’ (A good benchmark to use is a BCM of 420’) / 150’ Max Beam / 95,000 MT Max Displacement
North Cargo Pier 2 – Max. draft – 39’06 (Vessels over 650’ restricted to 38’06)
A vessel with a draft that does not exceed 38 00″may transit the channels and basins at any time and stage of the tide. Vessels that have a draft in excess of 38’00″are considered “tide jobs” and will be advised by the Harbormaster and Canaveral Pilots of the time of boarding with consideration given to the stage of the tide. These vessels are generally scheduled to begin an inbound transit two hours prior to high tide. A minimum under keel clearance of 2’6” is required during the transit of the channels and basins. 12/23/24 - Monday, December 23: SpaceX Starlink 12-2 - Launch of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on Wednesday, August 28th at 3:48 a.m. EDT. The rocket was carrying a batch of 21 broadband satellites into low earth orbit. The waning crescent moon can be seen peeking through the palm tree on the right. Mission: According to a Federal Aviation Administration advisory, SpaceX will the latest Starlink mission during a four-and-a-half hour window opening in the early hours of Monday.
