Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves...along with occasional height of the average highest 10 percent of the waves.

.SYNOPSIS FOR THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS...

Areas of dense fog expected over the bays and nearshore coastal waters this morning. 

Southeast wind will increase in speed through this afternoon, with moderate to strong flow expected this evening. 

A low (20%) chance of showers and thunderstorm will increase to a low to medium (20-40%) chance by tonight. 

A few storms could be strong to severe. 

A moderate (40-60%) chance of showers and thunderstorms is expected by Tuesday with a few strong to severe storms possible. 

A cold front moves across the waters Wednesday, leading to strong offshore winds accompanied by drier and cooler conditions. 

Weak to moderate onshore flow is anticipated for Thursday night and is expected to persist through the weekend.
