.SYNOPSIS FOR THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS...
Moderate to strong onshore winds will diminish to moderate levels today but seas remain elevated 5-7 ft.
Small Craft Advisory conditions are generally expected to continue through tomorrow in response to an upper- level disturbance and an attendant cold front approaching the region from the Desert Southwest.
Winds veer offshore behind the front.
This disturbance will lead to showers and isolated thunderstorms overnight tonight, with the potential for some of those storms to be strong to severe.
The cold front will move off the coast Wednesday morning with strong northwest winds developing in its wake.
Offshore winds relax on Thursday and become onshore again on Friday.
Weak to moderate onshore flow is anticipated through the weekend.
