.SYNOPSIS FOR THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS...

Moderate to strong offshore flow will continue today in response to a passing frontal boundary.

A Small Craft Advisory is in effect across the near and offshore waters north of Port Aransas.

Waves are expected to become elevated offshore this afternoon in response to Hurricane Helene progressing through the Gulf, leading to Advisory conditions in the offshore Gulf waters south of Port Aransas which will likely persist through Saturday.

Flow will transition to weak to moderate this evening allowing the nearshore waters to likely drop back to Small Craft Exercise Caution conditions.

Long period swells and elevated seas from Hurricane Helene will linger into the weekend before subsiding Saturday night.

Low rain chances will gradually increase to moderate, mainly over the offshore waters, through the middle of next week as moisture returns.
