Please find attached MSIB 79-24 UPDATE 2 as COTP will establish a moving safety zone 500 yards around the LLOG SALMANCA rig in the Brownsville Ship Channel as it is transported from Seatrium AmFELS Facility to sea buoy 11th October 2024 from 0600 to 1800.

Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves

...along with occasional height of the average highest 10 percent of the waves.

.SYNOPSIS FOR THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS...

Winds and seas have subsided across the offshore waters. 

Therefore, the Small Craft Advisory has been allowed to expire. 

Weak onshore flow today will become weak to moderate as we head through the weekend. 

Weak to moderate onshore flow may become variable at times through the middle of the week ahead of a cold front. 

After the front moves offshore late Tuesday/early Wednesday, easterly flow becomes moderate and veers back onshore through the end of the week. 

There is a low chance for showers mid-week increasing to a low to moderate 20-30% chance by next Friday.
