.SYNOPSIS FOR THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS...

A Small Craft Advisory remains in effect through this evening for the bays, and through Friday morning for the Middle Texas Coastal Waters, due to strong offshore flow and elevated seas.

The flow will diminish to weak to moderate by Friday morning, but seas offshore may take a little longer to subside. Southeasterly flow returns Friday night at near moderate levels.

Moderate to strong southerly flow will continue into Saturday ahead of an approaching cold front.

A strong offshore flow can be expected late Saturday night into Sunday in the wake of the front.

There is a low to medium (20-60%) chance for showers and thunderstorms today through Friday.

Onshore flow returns early next week.
