Gale Warning, south winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt
and seas 7 to 12 ft expected.

EDT this evening. For the Gale Warning, from 6 PM this evening
to 6 AM EDT Friday.
* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

.SYNOPSIS FOR THE COASTAL WATERS FROM SANDY HOOK NJ TO FENWICK
ISLAND DE AND FOR DELAWARE BAY...
A stalled front remains draped across our region overnight before
moving north of the region this afternoon. A strong cold front
crosses our area Thursday night into early Friday. High pressure
will build to the south later Saturday through Sunday, with a
weak cold front that may move through towards the end of the
weekend.

S winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 25 kt, becoming SE
15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt late. Seas 2 to 3 ft, building
to 4 to 6 ft this afternoon. SE swell up to 2 ft at 4 seconds. A
chance of showers early this afternoon. Showers likely late.
TONIGHT
S winds 25 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt. Seas 7 to
10 ft, building to 9 to 13 ft after midnight. Showers with a
chance of tstms.
FRI
SW winds 20 to 25 kt, diminishing to 15 to 20 kt in the
afternoon. Seas 8 to 11 ft, subsiding to 5 to 8 ft in the
afternoon. Showers likely, mainly in the morning.
