Maintenance Dredging
Dredging will be conducted in Marcus Hook Range and Marcus Hook Anchorage (No. 7) on the Delaware River from November 11, 2024, through approximately March 15, 2025.
Vessels desiring to anchor within Marcus Hook Anchorage must obtain permission from the COTP at least 24 hours in advance, at (215) 271-4807. The COTP will permit one vessel at a time on a “first come, first served” basis in the lower portion of the anchorage, with preference given to those vessels greater than 650’ in overall length.

* WHERE...Portions of Atlantic coastal waters and Delaware Bay
  Waters.
 
* WHEN...From late Wednesday night through Thursday morning.
 
* IMPACTS...Strong winds can cause hazardous seas which could
  capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
 
Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible
hazardous conditions.  Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter
course, and/or secure the vessel for severe wind and seas.

SYNOPSIS FOR THE COASTAL WATERS FROM SANDY HOOK NJ TO FENWICK
A warm front will approach from the south later today and
tonight. Low pressure and an associated strong front moves into
our region Wednesday night into Thursday with some much needed
rain. Low pressure then lingers across the Northeast Thursday
and Friday with much colder air before moving into the Canadian
Maritimes over the weekend. High pressure then arrives for
later Sunday and especially Monday.
