Maintenance Dredging
Dredging will be conducted in Marcus Hook Range and Marcus Hook Anchorage (No. 7) on the Delaware River from November 11, 2024, through approximately March 15, 2025.
Vessels desiring to anchor within Marcus Hook Anchorage must obtain permission from the COTP at least 24 hours in advance, at (215) 271-4807. The COTP will permit one vessel at a time on a “first come, first served” basis in the lower portion of the anchorage, with preference given to those vessels greater than 650’ in overall length.

SYNOPSIS FOR THE COASTAL WATERS FROM SANDY HOOK NJ TO FENWICK  ISLAND DE AND FOR DELAWARE BAY
 
A weak upper air system moves across our area early today,
followed by another system later today into early Tuesday. High
pressure looks to build in briefly later Tuesday before another
low pressure system affects our region later Wednesday. High
pressure moves in on Thursday, with a clipper system potentially
moving into the area to close out the week. Much colder weather
arrives by the end of the weekend.

SE winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 25 kt, becoming S
with gusts up to 20 kt this afternoon. Seas 4 to 6 ft. Wave
Detail: SE 5 ft at 11 seconds. Rain, mainly this morning. Patchy
fog early this afternoon with vsby 1 to 3 NM.
 
TONIGHT
S winds 10 to 15 kt, increasing to 15 to 20 kt after
midnight. Gusts up to 30 kt. Seas 4 to 5 ft. Wave Detail: SE 5 ft
at 10 seconds and SE 4 ft at 6 seconds. A chance of rain in the
evening, then rain likely after midnight.

SW winds 15 to 20 kt, becoming W 10 to 15 kt in the
