Maintenance Dredging
Dredging will be conducted in Marcus Hook Range and Marcus Hook Anchorage (No. 7) on the Delaware River from November 11, 2024, through approximately March 15, 2025.
Vessels desiring to anchor within Marcus Hook Anchorage must obtain permission from the COTP at least 24 hours in advance, at (215) 271-4807. The COTP will permit one vessel at a time on a “first come, first served” basis in the lower portion of the anchorage, with preference given to those vessels greater than 650’ in overall length.

  Freezing spray may render mechanical and electronic components
  inoperative. Ice accretion on decks and superstructures may
  result in some loss of stability. Strong winds will cause
  hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce
  visibility.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
 
Mariners should prepare for ice accumulation on their vessel and
consider altering plans to avoid or mitigate these hazardous

 .SYNOPSIS FOR THE COASTAL WATERS FROM SANDY HOOK NJ TO FENWICK
ISLAND DE AND FOR DELAWARE BAY...
 
Cold and dry arctic high pressure will remain in place to our
west through the middle of the week, keeping below normal
temperatures and dry conditions in place. A weak cold front will
pass through on Thursday. A warm front will lift north on
Saturday, bringing a shot of widespread precipitation. A strong
arctic cold front will pass through early Sunday, with much
colder conditions expected into next week.
