Maintenance Dredging
Dredging will be conducted in Marcus Hook Range and Marcus Hook Anchorage (No. 7) on the Delaware River from November 11, 2024, through approximately March 15, 2025.
Vessels desiring to anchor within Marcus Hook Anchorage must obtain permission from the COTP at least 24 hours in advance, at (215) 271-4807. The COTP will permit one vessel at a time on a “first come, first served” basis in the lower portion of the anchorage, with preference given to those vessels greater than 650’ in overall length.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM EST this evening.
 
* IMPACTS...Operating a vessel in freezing spray is hazardous.
  Freezing spray may render mechanical and electronic components
  inoperative. Ice accretion on decks and superstructures may
  result in some loss of stability.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
 
Mariners should prepare for ice accumulation on their vessel and
consider altering plans to avoid or mitigate these hazardous
conditions.

ISLAND DE AND FOR DELAWARE BAY...
 
Arctic high pressure centered in the Plains extends into our area
through today, then it settles right over our region Wednesday
before moving offshore into Thursday. A system tracks well to our
south and east later today and tonight, with another one tracking
offshore during Thursday. A cold front moves through later Friday
with high pressure sliding across our area Saturday. The next cold
front may arrive later Sunday with a possible area of low pressure
developing along it Monday.
