Maintenance Dredging
Dredging will be conducted in Marcus Hook Range and Marcus Hook Anchorage (No. 7) on the Delaware River from November 11, 2024, through approximately March 15, 2025.
Vessels desiring to anchor within Marcus Hook Anchorage must obtain permission from the COTP at least 24 hours in advance, at (215) 271-4807. The COTP will permit one vessel at a time on a “first come, first served” basis in the lower portion of the anchorage, with preference given to those vessels greater than 650’ in overall length.
 
 
MSIB 04-25 (Update 1) Ice Condition One
 
The Captain of the Port, Sector Delaware Bay has set Ice Condition One for the following safety zones, identified in Title 33, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 165.550, Delaware River and New Jersey Intracoastal Waterway.
The following restrictions are in effect, only steel hull vessels are allowed to enter, operate in, or transit the Delaware River and the New Jersey Intracoastal Waterway.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers prescribes steel hull and 1,500 minimum shaft horsepower restrictions for the Chesapeake & Delaware (C&D) Canal. The canal dispatcher on duty should be contacted regarding conditions and requirements for vessels using the C&D Canal at (410) 885-5580.

High pressure will shift east today across portions of the
Southeast and Mid-Atlantic, sliding offshore early this weekend.
A weak cold front will pass through the region tonight, keeping
temperatures below average for Saturday. A few weak cold
frontal passages through the early part of the week, with some
potential for a stronger low pressure system bringing some
impacts to the area Wednesday into Thursday.
