Maintenance Dredging
Dredging will be conducted in Marcus Hook Range and Marcus Hook Anchorage (No. 7) on the Delaware River from November 11, 2024, through approximately March 15, 2025.
Vessels desiring to anchor within Marcus Hook Anchorage must obtain permission from the COTP at least 24 hours in advance, at (215) 271-4807. The COTP will permit one vessel at a time on a “first come, first served” basis in the lower portion of the anchorage, with preference given to those vessels greater than 650’ in overall length.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

SYNOPSIS FOR THE COASTAL WATERS FROM SANDY HOOK NJ TO FENWICK
ISLAND DE AND FOR DELAWARE BAY...
Strong low pressure tracks from Ontario into Quebec overnight
with a strong cold front moving through the area in its wake.
High pressure slides to our south late today into Friday. A
trough of low pressure crosses our region late Friday into
Saturday. High pressure builds nearby Sunday and early next
week, although a front may be located to our north Tuesday and
Wednesday.
