96 Hours - advance notice of arrival required by USCG
72 Hours - The Harbormasters office requires a 72 hour minimum notice of a vessel arrival. Any time less than 72 hours will be considered short notice and could result in vessel's delay to berth.
48 Hours - advance receipt of crew list by Immigration for any vessel arriving from a foreign port, or arriving coast wise with detained crew.
24 Hours (minimum) - Foreign cargo must have manifest submitted to Customs & Border Patrol AMS.
24 Hours - advance fax of crew list and approved visitors required by Port Security Officer.
72 Hours - post port call, the Port Authority requires bill of lading figures for all bulk cargo.
Port Security - All persons doing ship’s business within the Port of Tampa must have TWIC and a Port-issued ID badge. Anyone not having one or both, will need to be escorted. Vehicles must have permanent company markings to be allowed onto any terminal.

1. Eastern and Central Tropical Atlantic (AL98):
Shower and thunderstorm activity associated with an area of low pressure located several hundred miles west of the Cabo Verde Islands has become more organized during the past several hours. Environmental conditions appear conducive for continued development of this system, and a tropical depression could form as soon as later today while it moves generally westward to west-northwestward near 15 mph today and tomorrow. The system is then forecast to slow down and turn northward late Friday and Saturday.
