96 Hours - advance notice of arrival required by USCG
72 Hours - The Harbormasters office requires a 72 hour minimum notice of a vessel arrival. Any time less than 72 hours will be considered short notice and could result in vessel's delay to berth.
48 Hours - advance receipt of crew list by Immigration for any vessel arriving from a foreign port, or arriving coast wise with detained crew.
24 Hours (minimum) - Foreign cargo must have manifest submitted to Customs & Border Patrol AMS.
24 Hours - advance fax of crew list and approved visitors required by Port Security Officer.
72 Hours - post port call, the Port Authority requires bill of lading figures for all bulk cargo.
Port Security - All persons doing ship’s business within the Port of Tampa must have TWIC and a Port-issued ID badge. Anyone not having one or both, will need to be escorted. Vehicles must have permanent company markings to be allowed onto any terminal.

Central Tropical Atlantic (AL98): Showers and thunderstorms associated with an area of low pressure located midway in between the Cabo Verde Islands and the Lesser Antilles continues to become better organized. This isturbance is already producing gale-force winds. Environmental conditions are conducive for further development and a tropical depression or storm could form today while the system moves generally westward to west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph. The system is then forecast to slow down and turn north-northwestward by this weekend.
