The National Weather Service is forecasting periods of fog, high winds, possible thunderstorms, and low water conditions for the Vessel Traffic Service Area this weekend and into the beginning of next week.  VTS Houston-Galveston will continue to monitor and update mariners through radio broadcasts and future GovDelivery notifications.  
Mariners are advised to closely monitor conditions and consider these forecasts in their voyage planning.  
Tonight
  • Areas of sea fog. Varying visibility, but would anticipate some intermittent periods of less than 2nm.
Saturday
  • Fog lingers into the afternoon in the nearshore Gulf.
  • Isolated thunderstorms during the day.
  • Frontal passage late in the afternoon/evening, NW winds increase overnight.
Saturday night & Sunday
  • Small Craft Advisories likely.
  • NW winds 20-25kt with some higher gusts.
  • Seas 4-5ft nearshore, 5-8ft offshore.
  • Low water conditions, more so northern bay around low tide times Sunday.
Monday
  • Low water conditions, more so northern bay around low tide times.
Wednesday
  • S winds 15-20kt. Seas 4-6ft.
