"Dense fog has been observed on the Houston Ship Channel and Galveston Bay. The National Weather Service Dense Fog Advisory for the lower Houston Ship Channel and Galveston Bay has been extended until 1500 (local) today.
An approaching cold front of near Gale Force winds is expected for the Houston Ship Channel and Galveston Bay this evening. 25-30 knot winds are expected with possible wind gust to 40 knots.
Mariners are advised to consider these weather conditions before beginning or continuing their transit. Vessel Traffic Service Houston-Galveston recommend vessels currently in transit to suspend, proceed with caution and/or make alternate plans due to current reduced visibility conditions."
