*Note below from Cape Cod Canal Control* 
 
While laying the dredge pipe across the East Entrance Channel yesterday unfortunately the pipeline broke. The area was surveyed and clearance to 38 feet MLLW was confirmed.
 
As a result, Great Lakes is requesting Canal/East Entrance closures for Tuesday 10/22 and Wednesday 10/23 from 0700 – 1100 to remove the broken section and then to reinstall. We have sent a Broadcast Notice to Mariners to the Coast Guard, to be broadcast tomorrow from 0600 until 1100 or work completion, whichever is sooner. We plan on the same for Wednesday.
