Good Afternoon,
Below is a summary of the 1500 conference call to discuss Hurricane Francine and it’s impacts to maritime operations
 
National Weather Service:
The eyewall is starting to move ashore in Terrebonne.  Official landfall is expected to happen in the next 1-2 hours.  Conditions will continue to deteriorate as the storm moves ashore.  All other information remains unchanged.
 
Corps of Engineers:
The Corps is making the necessary arrangements to have personnel on site to survey Southwest Pass and Venice at some point tomorrow once it is safe.

Coast Guard:
Current Port Condition: Zulu.  
Vessel movements are not allowed on the Mississippi River from the Sea Buoy to Mile 303.
Starting to plan to reopen the river as soon as weather conditions allow.
 
Pilot Associations:
The Pilots are standing by to begin moving vessels once conditions allow.  
 
The next conference is scheduled for 10:30 tomorrow morning. Please continue to monitor your email for updates.
