Notices

Good Morning,

The U. S. Coast Guard's modernized interactive Local Notice to Mariners (LNM) (https://www.navcen.uscg.gov/msi) is now live to the public on the Coast Guard Navigation Center's web site.

The changes to the LNM and Light Lists are a part of the Navigation Center’s efforts to modernize and improve the accessibility, accuracy, and overall user experience for mariners and other stakeholders. Weekly LNMs, weekly Light List correction files, daily discrepancy files, and the summary of Light List changes will no longer be published in a .pdf format. Instead, LNM and Light List data will now be available in a geospatial format, which will allow you to visualize information interactively on a map/chart. Alternatively, you can use a fillable form via the Navigation Center website to select your waterway by name from the Light List and generate LNM or Light List information. LNM data will be refreshed every 15 minutes. Aids to Navigation Light List data will be refreshed every 24 hours. This will give users a closer to real-time operating picture, designed to enhance efficiency and improve safety during route planning and transits.

You can view the system’s user guide at here.
