Notices

Good afternoon,
Please see message from PHWAG Chair below regarding upcoming changes to vessel traffic, effective Wednesday, Oct 16, at 0600:

After the placement of temporary ATONS in the bay and with several transits under their belts, the Tampa Bay Pilots will resume 2-way traffic in the bay as of 0600 hours tomorrow.  The twilight plus requirement will remain in effect for transits between the bridge and the bifurcation at F-Cut.  The upper harbor is 24/7 as is Big Bend Channel.  The approaches into Old Pt. Tampa, East Tampa Channel and Manatee Channel remain daylight only.  We expect the COTP to issue an updated PCIB soon.

A big thanks to the USCG Aids to Navigation Teams for their hard work especially Mr. Holt who has been ever-present throughout this endeavor.  I know the pilots are very appreciative as well. Let's all remember that the pilots are still suffering the loss of their station on Egmont Key and thus are burning more working hours just to get to and from the ships.
