Please note the below and attached USCG MSIB received regarding an upcoming full channel closure at MM. 0.0 – MM 2.0 AHOP for removal of a dredge discharge pipeline that’s crossing the main navigation channel.  As we understand this closure is scheduled to last 12 hours from March 18th at 0800 hrs until March 18th at 2000 hrs.

The contactor removing the pipeline has confirmed that the operation will take place as scheduled.  As a reminder, The river will be closed from Mile 0 – Mile 2 tomorrow from 0800-2000.   Vessels intending to arrive or depart the Mississippi River tomorrow must arrive at Pilottown (outbound) no later than 7:30 a.m. or Southwest Pass Entrance Light (inbound) no later than 6:00 a.m.
