Good day,
 
In addition to the earlier message regarding NOBRA pilot high water mooring restriction.  Please see the below and attached additional NOBRA pilots restrictions that will be implemented once the Carrolton River Gauge reaches 16 feet which is forecast to do so next week. 

Further to our message from earlier this morning, the NOBRA Pilots Board of Examiners will place the following restrictions in place once the Carrolton Gauges reaches 16 feet.  These restrictions will remain in place until the Baton Rouge gauges reaches 40 feet and falling and the Carrolton Gauge reaches 16 feet and falling: 
 
  1. Mile 233 AHP to Mile 90.5 AHP southbound vessels will be daylight only.
  2. Mile 166 AHP – Mile 233.2 – All vessels will be daylight only
  3. Vessels anchoring in NOBRA’s area responsibility with a draft of 35 feet or greater must maintain a pilot on board while at anchor
  4. Pilots dispatched to ensure a vessel remains stable at a safe berth shall serve no mor than six consecutive bridge hours
 
Based off the latest forecast, these restrictions look to be in place from 4/23/2025 – 4/30/2025. Please see the attached for further information.
