Maintenance Dredging
Dredging will be conducted in Marcus Hook Range and Marcus Hook Anchorage (No. 7) on the Delaware River from November 11, 2024, through early 2025.
Vessels desiring to anchor within Marcus Hook Anchorage must obtain permission from the COTP at least 24 hours in advance, at (215) 271-4807. The COTP will permit one vessel at a time on a “first come, first served” basis in the lower portion of the anchorage, with preference given to those vessels greater than 650’ in overall length.

  winds 10 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt and seas 3 to 6 ft
  expected. For the Gale Warning, west winds 20 to 30 kt with
  gusts up to 40 kt and seas 4 to 7 ft expected.
 
* WHERE...Coastal waters from Great Egg Inlet to Cape May NJ out
  20 nm, Coastal waters from Cape May NJ to Cape Henlopen DE out
  20 nm and Coastal waters from Cape Henlopen to Fenwick Island
  DE out 20 nm.
 
* WHEN...For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 10 AM EDT this
  morning. For the Small Craft Advisory, until 6 PM EDT this
  evening. For the Gale Warning, from 6 PM this evening to 6 PM
  EDT Friday.
 
* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could
  capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Low
  visibility will make navigation difficult.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
 
Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for hazardous conditions.

ISLAND DE AND FOR DELAWARE BAY...
 
A cold front moves through the region tonight as low pressure develops
along it. The low strengthens as it moves to the northeast Friday.
Another cold front moves through later Saturday, then high pressure
builds in briefly for Sunday. The next system is forecast to move
through on Monday, with a secondary weak system potentially moving
through Tuesday into Wednesday.

drizzle early this morning, then patchy drizzle late this morning
and early afternoon. A slight chance of rain late. Vsby 1 NM or
