FEDERAL, STATE & LOCAL FILING REQUIREMENTS

96 Hours - advance notice of arrival required by USCG
72 Hours - The Harbormasters office requires a 72 hour minimum notice of a vessel arrival. Any time less than 72 hours will be considered short notice and could result in vessel's delay to berth.
48 Hours - advance receipt of crew list by Immigration for any vessel arriving from a foreign port, or arriving coast wise with detained crew.
24 Hours (minimum) - Foreign cargo must have manifest submitted to Customs & Border Patrol AMS.
24 Hours - advance fax of crew list and approved visitors required by Port Security Officer.
72 Hours - post port call, the Port Authority requires bill of lading figures for all bulk cargo.
Port Security - All persons doing ship’s business within the Port of Tampa must have TWIC and a Port-issued ID badge.  Anyone not having one or both, will need to be escorted.  Vehicles must have permanent company markings to be allowed onto any terminal.

CURRENT ISSUES:   06/18/24 – PORT TAMPA BOARD MEETING - Jun 18 2024 09:30 AM - 11:30 AM - The regular business meeting of the Tampa Port Authority, d/b/a Port Tampa Bay, Board of Commissioners meeting will be held in person at PORT TAMPA BAY'S JOSEPH GARCIA INTERNATIONAL CENTER (1101 Channelside Drive, Tampa, FL 33602).  Anyone who wishes to speak during the meeting may do so by signing the Public Comments sign-in sheet that will be provided near the entrance of the Boardroom on the meeting day. The Chair will call on speakers by name in the   order in which they have completed the online Public Comment Form. Up to three (3) minutes are allowed for each speaker.   A copy of the current agenda and supporting documents are posted approximately seven days before the Board meeting on the PTB website:  https://meetings.boardbook.org/Public/Organization/1448. (Past meeting agendas can also be accessed through the same link.) For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

1. Offshore of the Southeastern U.S. (AL90):
Satellite data and surface observations indicate that the low 
pressure area offshore of the southeastern U.S. coast is moving 
northeastward into the open Atlantic.  This system is expected to 
merge with with a front over the weekend, and the chances of 
tropical cyclone development are decreasing.  Regardless of 
development, heavy rainfall is forecast to continue across portions 
of the Florida peninsula through Saturday. For more information, 
see products issued by the Weather Prediction Center and local 
National Weather Service Forecast Offices.

* Formation chance through 7 days...low...10 percent.


2. Southwestern Gulf of Mexico:
A broad area of low pressure is forecast to form over the
southwestern Gulf of Mexico late this weekend or early next week.
Environmental conditions appear conducive for gradual development of
this system, and a tropical depression could form during the early
or middle part of next week while it moves slowly westward or
west-northwestward.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 7 days...medium...50 percent.
